Never Alone

I woke up this morning dazed and amazed
Thinking about my trials and tribulations
Your affection for me calmed my soul and cleared the haze
Now I can tackle my day with much jubilation.

Unaware of your presence I went about my way
Clearly crediting my ability as I accomplished my tasks
Then a ray of light brightens up my day
And it reminds me of your provision whenever I ask.

Distraught and confused my problems may leave me
Filled with disgust I may be each time I falter and fail
Yet you lift my head up and cause my ego to flee
Emotions incomprehensible to me overcome my being as I wail

I surrender in passing everyday when I realize I am not alone
I concur with the multitude that submit to you
Regardless of the past, I believe my future is not undone
Awaiting the presence of your constant touch, I will forever remain indebted to you.
